  • Apple accused of stalling union negotiations with Apple Towson employees

Apple doesn’t have to agree to those negotiations. The union can push as hard as they want and apple is free to say no to what they push for.

It’s crazy that class-action bullying is legal in the corporate sector.
fully entrenched in western late stage capitalism, .
That’s all I needed to read to skip to the next comment.  Totally ignorant of economics.

And an aside:  of course the union is going to claim Apple is stalling.  It’s part of the unions pressure tactics to get what they wanted.  The union wanted an adversarial relationship — it got one and needs to live in the bed it made.

Can we get a curved 4K budget monitor?  There are plenty of budget monitors at 4K resolution available but it would be nice to get a curved one so that all parts of the screen or slightly more equidistant from a viewer sat down in front of the middle of the screen.

I don’t care about pure Retina display.  But I want the 4K resolution to show more absolute desktop/window size.

  • Apple has been racketeering to protect its stolen services technology, inventor accuses

While I usually call out the fact that it is immaterial if a patent owner actually makes a product themselves, I’ll let it slide in this case.   This guy seems to be crazy.

The system worked, folks.  Bad patents were declared invalid.  Regardless of whether or not the patent holder makes their own product.

  • Apple & Google aren't happy about dinosaur and alien porn on Kindle book store

    5600 reviews x $5 = $28k, assuming even 10-1 ratio of reviews to purchases, that's $280k from one book.

I don’t know how it works but the authors don’t get 100% of the proceeds from a sale.  A guy who sells books on Amazon is on another forum I’m a member of and he explained it once.   The return was not that great IIRC.  (And there is a big problem of people “returning” kindle books for refund).
