• Concept images suggest what rumored Apple over-ear headphones could look like

Rebranded Beats headphones? I think not.
As soon as I saw these I thought.. Beats?  I agree they would never go that route.
I also thought 'Beats', but I am not sure it is such a bad direction. Beats do OK in terms of sales, don't they? Perhaps this is more of a potential 're-branding'. But I am not sure Apple would use their logo quite so ostentatiously on a set of cans. At least make it the same colour as the background. I'd also imagine they'd want to make them a little more slim-line, though if you are buying an over ear set of headphones you are going for Sound first and foremost and judging by what is out there small size is not a priority.
Fair enough.  I would use the opportunity though to say "people like this form, so lets keep selling them as Beats and introduce a different look to gain even more people".

Side note, I think I must have sensitive ears.  I bought the over the ear Bose instead of on ear Bose because I can't wear the on ear headphones more than 30 minutes before they just hurt.  :)

Did any of you read the part about the economic class disruption these buses are assisting? Public bus stops, the kind that use public funded tax dollars are being used by private bus companies and possibly tech companies to shuttle their employees. Why must taxpayers subsidize companies like Apple and Google. I live in NYC and hyper gentrification has pretty much ruined the city I love. Google, Facebook and other tech companies are invading my residential neighborhood and lobbying city hall to change zoning laws which will allow for glass and steel offices building in our low rise, historic neighborhood. Community grass roots efforts are working to prevent this from happening but money usually wins in our capitalist society. Employees of Facebook are now living in newly built one bedroom apartments which sell for $1.5 million. A Catholic school, rectory and circa 1900 church were all demolished to make way for this condo. Meanwhile prices have soared as landlords know they can charge any price to get chain stores (something unheard of in NY until recent years) in commercial spaces, rent stabilized long term residents are either being bought out of their leases, or illegally forced out by gas and heating shut offs which extends for months. If you do not live in a major city you might not be experiencing this dramatic attack on how you live but I know that citizens of cities like San Francisco has suffered dearly from the tech boom. I pity the city which Amazon decides to gut.

Finally, I do not condone shooting buses, however someone needs to disrupt the disruptors and bringing the fight more public is the first step.
Isn't a "public bus stop" just a location?  Maybe a covered awning?  is that really what this is about, tech companies using the same location to stop their buses and load passengers?

So they are faster because they aren't as secure...and that's a GOOD thing?

Good.  Keep putting out reports like this and driving Apple and others to get better.  There are more things at play than benchmarks when I'm shopping for a phone, ecosystem has 99% to do with it.  But competition is good, so I'm glad to hear positive reviews for other manufacturers.

• Consumer Reports pegs Apple's iPhone X & 8 Plus as having best smartphone cameras

I'm pretty sure that Consumer Reports was once a valuable resource for people deciding what to buy.

In any case, these days, they are only relevant because of their past. I treat their reviews at about the same level as a blogger I've never heard of. I'll read the review, but I won't rely on it.
Good point.  What's funny is that when I am considering something I always go to Amazon first and read their reviews.  Even if I am in a store, pull up Amazon.  Very little chance I'll buy it on Amazon if I'm at the store (unless the savings are absurd) but when I want reviews I want to know how average spares like me would use the product.  Way more useful than waiting on a company to do a review under their scenarios.
