  • First look: Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPower

This should have been the "One more thing" item.  This is a game changer for me.  Sure Samsung has had cell equipped watches but this is an Apple so it will actually work.  I don't have an apple watch because it wasn't anything more than my FossilQ with apple pay.  Now I can have the watch on and not need my phone when I'm running errands?

Seriously SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!  I'm buying one for me and one for my wife.

  • Song meant to spoof car audio systems climbs into top 50 on Apple's iTunes charts

One solution I have is to use a USB that isn't the AUX port.  I have a phone holder that has it's own USB ports since the holder plugs into the cigarette lighter.   Glad others have it as well, maybe it will be patched eventually.  Of course if Apple keeps getting a cut of the $.99 they don't have a reason to fix it.  I've deleted all the music off my phone, but songs I bought are still on the cloud I guess and it starts playing.

  • Will the 'iPhone 8' cost $1200+? Apple has already been pushing flagship prices higher for...

Those prices are just crazy. Apple will be pricing themselves right out of the market if this rumor is true. If Apple is going to release a so called iPhone 7s and 7s Plus and a iPhone 8, well then the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus are already outdated!!! The 8 is over priced, and I'd stick with my iPhone 6 for a 4th year.

The difference between an $800 iPhone and a $1200 iPhone (on a 24 month purchase agreement) is less than $17/month.  Considering that is is a rare bird that pays cash for an iPhone this price increase is a non-issue (except for Android shills).
As someone on the old AT&T unlimited plan, I always have to buy with cash now.  Don't mind it, just makes it more obvious what something is costing.

  • Flying car backed by Google co-founder Larry Page takes to skies in early demo

No auto rotation like on a helicopter, so any battery failure equals certain death. Pass.

I imagine it has a reserve battery for emergency landings. A developer could hardly forget to include that, even one as impractical as Google.
Still have to imagine worst case scenario.  You can have redundancies but if they aren't separated from the main system then you still have a weak-link.  You would need a backup battery with backup wiring, now you are talking about a lot of weight.  As others have said, it will need some sort of auto-rotate or glide ability.
