  • Apple's shareholders skirmish over ideological differences

I lean conservative and don't agree with this junk of declaring your political affiliations or any of the other crud the "conservatives" in this article are ranting about.  I'm tired of the hateful and bigots that have co-opted the conservative moniker and given then rest of us a bad name.  Just my opinion and upbringing, but TRUE conservatives just want to be left alone...that means keeping your nose out of others business (including who someone marries or what they do with their body).  Somehow the hatemonger "conservatives" have forgotten this.  Maybe we need a new designation...I'm a fiscal conservative and a social don't-give-a-dang.  Do what makes you happy, but don't waste money trying to do so.

Lastly, the SPLC is most certainly a hate group and I do wish Apple wouldn't support them.  Look no further than the numerous recent payouts and lawsuits the SPLC has lost due to their wielding their "hate map" as a tool for silencing their critics.  Raise you voice against them and they label you a hate group.  Apple essentially is paying extortion money to those turds.

  • Facebook embroiled in yet another privacy scandal, this time involving your phone number

Glad I have never given Facebook my phone number for two factor authentication.  But the app was on my phone for a bit so I'm sure they have my number that way.

  • MWC Barcelona 2019 taunts Apple's absence in 5G and foldable screens

Good article overall, but I disagree with the following statement and am going to nitpick:

"Apple appears to be unique in being able to correctly envision what its customers will want, and then actually develop working, finished ideas it is then able to ship and—most importantly—sell to buyers in significant volumes. "

There is a difference between being correct in "what the customer wants" and "selling a lot of items to customers".   What I mean is that if I were given the option I would 100% buy a phone with a headphone port, but Apple doesn't afford me that option unless I want their older tech.  I 100% want expandable storage, even if that storage is limited only to the photos folder.  But Apple doesn't give me that option.  I am a loyal Apple user so the garbage other companies put out are not options for me.

In no way does that mean Apple has some sort of 6th sense about what I want.  What they are good at is putting together an entire product that as a whole is more reliable and easier to use than the alternatives.

  • Apple pays teenager for discovery of Group FaceTime bug with bug bounty, scholarship

Good move by Apple, the story went national (international maybe) and now so will this.

I agree that they shouldn't guarantee him a job, but maybe let him know if he chooses to go down that tech path they would put him at the front of the line for an internship interview.  Doesn't give any guarantees but let's him know there is a future there if he wants to work for it.

  • Facebook issues memo on Apple Enterprise Certificate fiasco as employees vent frustration

Facebook is trying to downplay what they did can come across as a victim.  FB should be finding the person internally that made the decisions to violate the terms of the certificate and have that head roll.
that person has made facebook so much money selling the data they mined that they won't be fired.
