    Isn’t this meaningless for Epic? Even if Apple had to allow outside purchases, Epic is still banned from The App Store (AFAIK) due to their breech of contract. It would be kinda funny if Apple lost and other developers started using outside payments, but Epic couldn’t because they’re banned.

    When am I going to be allowed to bypass the “gatekeepers” at VW Group, BMW and Mercedes so I can install Apps of my choice in their infotainment systems? When are they going to force console makers like Nintendo, Sony and MS to open up to alternate stores.

    Their “interoperability” argument is also bullshit. iPhones already “interoperate”. They would be useless if they didn’t. They use industry standards for cellular, WiFi and Bluetooth. You can browse any website you wish or exchange email with anyone. You can get any popular software you’d ever want to use on either platform.

    Forcing 3rd party stores offers zero benefits for consumers (it actually causes harm) and only benefits a few large developers. Majority of developers will see no benefit. Pretty clear the EU is siding with a few greedy companies (Epic & Spotify) and are happy to fuck consumers over to help them.

    Meh. Got permanently suspended from Twitter (was expecting it but it took longer than I thought).

    Created a second account (a right-wing Trump fan) to go along with my main “left wing” account.

    Started posting identical, but opposite posts on each account. For example, suggest using the 2nd Amendment to get rid of traitors like AOC or MTG. My “left” account received numerous temporary suspensions leading up to my permanent ban while my “right” account didn’t even get a single warning. I fully expected this based on the shithole Twitter has become, but didn’t expect it to be so obvious.

    Eventually Twitter will be another Truth Social, a failing platform that only preaches to the choir of fuckwit GOP and Trump fanatics.
