  • iPhone 14 camera cutout may not be the shape that's expected

The cutout in the examples above is worse than a notch.

If you took the exact same sized cutout and moved it up to the edge so it’s a smaller notch you get more usable screen space. The screen above/around the cutout is literally wasted space that can’t display any content. What benefit does it bring, except to appease the people who whine about the notch?

  • Twitter's last security chief blasts service over 'grossly negligent' security

The timing of this is suspicious. No doubt Musk is involved, as per his usual “try Twitter in the court of public opinion”. Mainly because he’s going to lose his case spectacularly and will lose billions by backing out.

  • Comparison: 2022 MacBook Air versus Dell XPS 13 Plus

    Your performance comparison is terrible.

The Dell is only capable of matching the M2 when plugged in. And even then the M2 is still faster at many tasks.

Run them on battery and the M2 obliterates the Dell. Most YouTube reviewers trying to paint the M2 in a bad light always test plugged in. The very few who have tested on battery expose Intel for what they are - power inefficient designs that only perform good when plugged in and throttle like crazy on battery.

These are laptops, not desktops. Their performance on battery is what counts. And the M2 crushes Intel.

  • All iOS VPNs are worthless and Apple knows it, claims researcher

Obviously this idiot has never seen the exemption lists of MANY VPN clients, even those outside iOS ecosystem, such as Windows and macOS...

Take Cisco AnyConnect, do you know how many domains are in the default tunnel exemption list that end users CANNOT modify?!?!

The guy making these claims is so full of shit it's not even funny. I have yet to see ONE SINGLE COMMERCIAL VPN service that totally routes 100% of connections via the tunnel, except for my own OpenVPN server I run, which I have setup to route ALL traffic, and it actually does, even on iOS!

Basically split-tunneling where you might want only certain Apps to go through the VPN while other Apps/services continue as they were.

Seems like he’s expecting a specific behavior, and since he doesn’t get it he screams “Apple has a severe security flaw”.

  • Apple, Facebook discussed revenue-sharing before privacy battles

What a joke of a hit piece by the WSJ.

Companies are always discussing different scenarios. The only thing that counts in the end is what the company did, not the dozen or more scenarios they talked about.
