P.S. I also looked at the iOS in app pricing. Just in case. That will cost $15.99 per month individually. No annual option from what I can see. 

It already sounds far too complicated from the remit of making the smart home more accessible.

Good deduction but you seem to be looking at the 6S. The phone to the left appears to have the speaker grill right at the top denoting a 13 series.
