  • 'Captain America' star Chris Evans finally gives up his iPhone 6s

If you look at the location of the speaker pill cutout, you’d know it is not a 13.
Good deduction but you seem to be looking at the 6S. The phone to the left appears to have the speaker grill right at the top denoting a 13 series.

  • Texas boy's 31 cheeseburger order demonstrates why you should secure your iPhone

I am interested in how the iOS parental controls would have prevented this. My understanding is that the kid had the mom's phone, not his own, and I don't think parents are meant to put parental controls on their own phones.

Now, faceID with Apple Pay for payment makes sense in this case.  And generally locking the phone when not in use
I’d never give my son my iPhone with locking it to whichever app he’s using with guided access. A very handy tool for many different applications, including temporary “child lock” mechanics.

  • Apple's Self Repair Program vs. Genius Bar: What it costs to fix an iPhone 13

Having had an out of warranty camera repair on my iPhone 12 it cost £69 in an Apple Store. Just because the price isn’t listed doesn’t mean there isn’t a cheaper option available when you go there.

This all just smacks of the same old spoilt baby (entitled) routine in most of the world today. Wanting things cheaper, thinking they are going to save a buck by being able to do it themselves but then the reality is the parts have a cost, the expertises/parts have a cost and ultimately once it’s here it’s actually no better off. I see third party app stores and payment systems going the same way.

  • Apple's $3 trillion valuation is the least interesting news about the company

Loved the article. Reading it just makes sense.

  • Apple's 21.5-inch Intel iMac is officially retired

Too bad. The 21.5" is the ideal size for a desktop computer at home. At lacks nothing. Gets the job done without the size getting in the way.

And, unless the computer is somehow your actual business, you don't want the computer to be the primary focus. Lawyer, doctor, nurse, intake -- anything to do with public communication, clients, you don't want the compute to separate you from the people you're serving.
Erm, you do realise the 24” iMac is practically the same physical size?
