Sonos criticizes Google, Amazon, and Apple at Senate antitrust hearing
So. From what I understand, it is better to have loads of crappy systems that don’t work well (I’m looking at you IKEA and SmartThings) then it is to allow a company release a great system that works and allow smaller companies adopt their code? Today’s world is really starting to annoy me. When did a well thought out, open product become the bad guy?I find the more products talk to each other in a native tongue the better. IFTTT has been a disjointed affair at best. I like there is something, but I’d much prefer a wholistic system. -

Apple to significantly increase retail worker benefits in April
I still can’t believe how bad your working rights are in the US. In the UK everyone, no matter the company gets 6 weeks paid vacation. Sick pay depends on the company. Minimum is £75 a week, with (I think) no time limit. But of course if your long term sick you could be asked to leave as you are not fit to work. To name but a few.

iCloud+ gets larger storage tiers, but the lowest tier is still terrible
mSak said:I think it's naive to say "but the lowest and barely functional tier is still available". I subscribe to the 99 cents/month for 50GB option and it works just fine for me and my spouse with lots of space leftover. Yes, the two of us share the 50GB option and we have space left to spare. -
Apple seeks stay on allowing external links & purchases during injunction violation appeal...

As for us users, take the effort to buy your subscriptions outside the app where possible and you’ll likely pay less. A small bit of effort but it goes a long way when you add up the savings over time. -
