Ha! Yes, the 15 Ultra isn't a looker either but in the live photos you can see that when held in landscape position it's a kind of tribute to a compact point and shoot.

These iPhone renders would look great in Futurama. Maybe there's a Bender style antenna that pops out of the top to squeeze a little bit more out of the C1.

Time for an Apple NAS and router. Simple, secure and local, yet with cellular synchronisation to other devices as an option.

It might lead to slightly less iCloud subscription activity but would be a hardware revenue driver all the same. 

No one would have thought the current modem was a one-off.

They are simply stating the obvious. 

Every modem maker could say the same. 

The real message is probably, 'don't expect too much from this product in comparison to others already out there'.
