A flood of panic-buying has started in anticipation of major iPhone price increases
That’s right Mfryd, it is easy to forget that these policies are what Trump voters voted for. That they are likely to not work doesn’t matter as Trump promised to do them. Ironic that a politician actually moving to honour their election commitments might be just as harmful if not more so than the usual lying liar variety. From the perspective voter in West Virginia, no doubt they figure they have nothing to lose, and if it doesn’t work, it will bring down the progressives, mega rich and political class in Dc benefitting from the current/old system. The forgotten people will settle for destruction of that system, as it doesn’t work for them.
why it came to this is a question we all should be asking ourselves. -
BBC cries foul over lack of branding for its Apple News stories
jfreedle2 said:DAalseth said:I hope the BBC wins and nails Apple and Google to the wall. Quoting without attribution is simply theft. It’s not ok when AI scrapers do it, and it’s not ok when news aggregators do it, it’s not ok when a high school kid does it in a report. It’s just not ok.
Now, I do have a bit of concern that outfits like the BBC and Murdoch press intend to use this process as a stalking horse to demand social media platforms like Facebook, instagram, X and tic tok start paying for stuff their users decide to post on their platforms. They do not have control of what people publish unless they go down the content control ( aka censorship) path. Which should be a no no. -
