Apple continuing full-court press against retail unionization efforts
Union busting often works. But it often spurs more action by workers. I remember the laughing at Starbucks employees starting their unionization efforts. By the end of this month more than 200 stores will have unionized.
The efforts may not work as well at Apple, but best believe that there will be more Apple locations unionizing, and that in response Apple will be forced to increase pay & benefits, and improve working conditions with employee input. Whether the unions win elections or not, they have won in a very big sense. And that's a good thing. -

Telegram app update was held up over iOS-inspired animated emoji [u]
Apple says it provided clear communications with Telegram throughout the review process, including that it would take longer for reviewing the app. In the case of Telegram's rejection, Apple provided a written notice and a phone call, with the latter checking Telegram knew the reason for the rejection, and how to get back into compliance. So a tech CEO apparently lied. Color me shocked!

Maryland Apple Store first to vote in favor of unionization
The 1st of many I'm sure. I remember when some belittled the efforts once the 1st Starbucks unionized. In the first six months 150 Starbucks have unionized and probably more than that will unionize the 2nd half of 2022. Apple Atlanta will eventually unionize after pushing back their vote. And I suspect Grand Central (NYC) will also unionize shortly.
