I hope the bottom placement of the "Read more..." wasn't placed down there as some sort "censoring" of the forum content in an effort to groom the contents by making it more pro-Apple and difficult for the average "Joe" to post their opinion.  While some people do come here just to troll and post negativity, at the same time, everything Apple does/sells/designs isn't always perfect (maybe to the dismay of some here) and so posting an "anti-Apple" post isn't always trolling.
It was not. There is already a link to the comments at the top of the article, and we only display 5 comments beneath it. The amount of space that takes up depends on the length of the comments. The link is there to prompt the user to go to the forums if they want to read more.

Web site looks good, but the RSS feed seems to be partly broken: I'm using NetNewsWire 5.0.3, and the feed from https://appleinsider.com/rss/news lists the articles with a brief summary (as before) but none of the entries actually link to the web site, so I have to manually switch to my web browser, go to appleinsider.com and find the article, which seriously limits the usefulness of the RSS feed.

Possible technical explanation, based on a quick look at the feed data and Atom specification: each <entry> tag in the feed appears to be missing a <link> tag with the article URL.

This should be fixed now, thanks!

    Edit:
We changed the RSS feed format, so you guys may see a little weirdness depending on your reader (some people were reporting duplicated stories) but it should be fine going forward.

I miss when AppleInsider would do their live blog. I checked back here again this time to see if it's back, but I guess I'm going to another site again. :(
I use to watch Mac Break Weekly but they can't be quiet for more than 2 seconds without the snark. Practically after every damn sentence on stage (unless it's from a non-male). 9 to 5 started shadow banning commenters they didn't like so the heck with them. Who do you go to?
Our lunch got eaten by a combination of Apple making it so easy to stream (doubly this year with the Youtube version) and much larger publications covering the same exact material. We do have Dan out at the event to report, get hands on, and capture photos and videos. We will just be making lots of posts = P

If you aren't able to do video because you're at work or something and you need that real-ish-time feed, you should check out our twitter account.

  • Apple debuts new $5999 Mac Pro with up to 28-core Xeon processors

The enthusiasts complaining about this machine are justified. The people pointing out that this machine is for an extremely niche and specific market are also correct.

IMO Apple messed up here, and they're going to get a lot of crap for it. This is a form factor that could, and should, have scaled to make multiple market segments happy. Instead Apple went as far to the extreme end as they could, to the exclusion of the middle road, and completely priced out individuals. The enthusiasts just wanted an expandable i7 with like 16-64GB of RAM and a good GPU they could upgrade. That should have been possible with this design.

Feels like a swing and a miss to me. Apple is either completely out of touch with the enthusiast market, or it might be time for the enthusiast market to give up on Apple. I think they probably sold a fair amount of PCs today.

Also, I know it's personal preference but man is that thing ugly. Can Ive stop trying to make every Apple product look like a Braun appliance from the 60s and 70s?
