Jay Z pulls albums from Apple Music and Spotify
If you think Jay-Z wasn't, and isn't, important to rap, hip-hop, and popular music and culture then you really have a lot of research to do. You may not like his music, or his personality, or whatever, but his impact is pretty undeniable.
Other services are worse for not having his oeuvre, but it makes sense he's working to double-down on Tidal given his personal stake in it. At the end of the day, however, there's still plenty of other ways to get the music, and it probably only hurts him to not have it as readily available as it could be.

Come Help us test HTTPS Support
Hello Forums,
We're slowly starting our (long overdue) HTTPS rollout. We are treating this as a public beta of sorts, and want to make sure it's not creating any extra problems. We're starting with the forums here, then moving on to our image servers, and finally we will hit the main site.
You can access the https version of the forums at:
https://forums.appleinsider.com
Let us know below if you run into any problems or have any questions or comments. After we feel comfortable that it's not making things worse we're going to swap over to using HTTPS as the default.

Apple News iOS 10 update major driver of traffic to The Telegraph, users more engaged with...

To be honest, all these non-interoperable closed gardens make me really nervous. Though as of right now, by the numbers at least, AMP scares me a lot more than Apple News does. That's a whole separate topic though.
That's not to say AN is a bad platform or app or user experience, because I don't think it is, but it's far from a perfect solution too. That's my ramble.
