    They are trying to put a shine on a turd. This was a stupid design choice that goes against best practices and will waste electricity. So much for Apple trying to act like they keep the environment in focus.


    Wait, so you believe turning off a Mac mini is better for the environment?

    Do you own a microwave? A remote-controlled flat-screen television? All of these devices "live" in a low-power mode waiting to be used.

    Macs have excelled at Sleep mode for 25 years. Even 20 years ago, I was advising people not to constantly switch their computers on and off, as it's harder on the electronics. There's even less reason to switch them off these days.

    It's the Vision "Pro", not a Consumer product, so selling in consumer stores doesn't make a lot of sense. Does Apple have Sales teams visiting corporations that could benefit from the Pro? A consumer version of the Vision headset is coming. Their only mistake was trying to sell the Pro direct to consumers.
