Why would it need to be priced under $1K? Regardless, this device will probably be well received, but it wouldn't be an iPhone replacement. Not for the next decade.
In my opinion it's going to be a separate niche category and isn't going to replace phones anytime soon, though it heavily depends upon the advancement of the technology.

Don't waste your time trying to come up with "solutions" for streaming. It's not a viable business model. Disney+ was crowned the big winner in terms of attracting subscribers and their executives are still trying to figure out how to make a profit from it.
