  • If you're a Tesla owner, employees might be sharing your camera recordings

proline said: That said, Elon Musk is legally recognized as a Tesla founder and prior to his involvement the company had zero products and zero revenue. He definitely built it from the ground up.
Carbon credits are what built Tesla.

  • GM ditching CarPlay & Android Auto for Google-built infotainment system

Disappointing. The Ultium battery platform developed by GM appears to be a good one for EVs. The article is saying that music/calls would still be available through Bluetooth so it's not a complete non-starter in terms of buying a GM EV. I think it will come down to what types of functions/terms GM decides on per the subscription part and the data sharing/privacy part that would make/break buying a GM EV for a lot of people. IMO, they'll need to offer really good terms to pull this off.

  • Netflix Games may come to TVs, use iPhone as a controller

If there is the bandwidth, sounds like a good plan. Otherwise, wouldn't there be lag that would make action/shooter/driving sim games hard to play?
Netflix Games isn't based on streaming. You download the games to your device just like with Apple Arcade.

One thing this article gets me thinking is who is Edward Snowden really. It wasn’t until 3 years later in 2016 that we realized how involved Russia has been in attempting to manipulate and infiltrate our government agencies and politics. The fact that he was welcomed with open arms in Russia is concerning in retrospect to say the least.
Snowden is essentially the same thing as WikiLeaks. The criticism was always targeting Western democracies. The "hacks" and "leaks" were mysteriously unable to reveal anything embarrassing elsewhere in the world.

  • New Adobe Firefly will use AI to generate art, but protect artists

If they bought works of artists/photographers, it's theirs to use whatever they want.

I am so fed up with those creatives thinking that they're somehow entitled to more payments because of a new way of using them. That's why we have legal contracts and they always say they reserve the right to do whatever with their works.
Adobe is obviously talking about the photos/art that they don't own and are not in the public domain, i.e., material available as stock through Adobe via licensing with the artist. Stock companies do own some of the material outright but it's typically not the majority of what they offer.
