It's not going to be less than $1K. You can pretty much bank on that. 2K monitors (ultra wide) have retail prices of well over $1K. RTINGS.com picked the LG 40WP95C as the best "work" UltraWide and that's $1600 retail. That LG is the typical 5K/2K marketing which really just means it's the equivalent of two side-by-side 2K monitors. 

In the U.S., "shall" is legally interpreted to mean exactly what Apple is arguing. Anything preceded by "shall" is intended to be a requirement. 

Goldman Sachs is a company whose CEO testified to Congress that their biggest money maker during the Great Recession was intentionally marketing bad securities packages as good securities packages to their customers with the justification being "customers who do business with Goldman Sachs should be savvy enough to know when we're lying". Always keep that in mind whenever you hear Goldman management talking about pretty much anything...

No. The tech and speaker/microphone array inside is different so you have to imagine that there would be a number of issues in terms of sound quality, processing, and room sensing that wouldn't work out too well for a stereo match.
