The reason the charging port is on the bottom is due to the original removable battery option. The charging port is in the same location as the latch for the removable battery cover. That allowed Apple to save $$ by keeping the industrial design almost identical between the two different versions.

If Trump was competent he wouldn't be threatening tariffs over his own trade deals. Remember, the 1st Trump administration backed the US out of NAFTA and TPP and negotiated new deals to replace them. So his current complaints about trade with China, Canada and Mexico are complaints about himself.

That's not the future. That's the past. Cloud storage companies always have language in their user agreements that allow scans for illegal content. Apple's terms have included that for many years. 

Apple's decision to abandon CSAM scanning was always dumb. Their iCloud user agreement has always included language that stated they can scan files for illegal content. And the user is in total control of whether or not they use iCloud for backup and which specific apps have files backed up.
