  • House Judiciary Committee subpoenas Apple over AI censorship

People here believe that private companies should be allowed to censor their customers and employees, and that the government should not be allowed to stop it. While this is true, the government has many "100% legal options" at their disposal, such as not buying any products for their own employees from companies that censor free speech. Therefore, investigations serve a purpose.
One rather large and obvious problem with that statement: Donald Trump will always attempt to punish anyone who disagrees with him or criticizes him. So there is no free speech within the Trump administration itself.

"The investigation is a direct attempt to assert the claim of technological censorship, which supporters of the Republican party think is happening."

No, they don't actually think that is happening. It's just a projection of what they want to do themselves.

  • iPhone 'batterygate' legal drama isn't quite done yet

Once again everybody...here are the three situations where throttling could occur:

    A. Battery is at or below 80% capacity. Any lithium ion battery in any phone begins to lose the ability to provide consistent voltage at/below 80% capacity.

    B. Battery is at or below 20% charge. Regardless of whether the battery is brand new or old, voltage flow can become inconsistent below 20% charge.

    C. Battery is exposed to cold temperatures. Freezing temperatures can cause any lithium ion battery in any phone to lose consistent voltage flow.

All three of those situations are standard limitations for any phone sized lithium ion battery. And two out of the three don't require the user to get a new battery. Throttling would only occur in situations where the voltage demand from the system was too high for the battery to provide. In other words, without throttling the phone would simply shut off as a safety precaution per the voltage issue.

Texas may have a lot to do with energy costs, also.   They’re huge on solar in spite of being red.
Texas is going to finally connect their notoriously erratic energy grid to other states...courtesy of (gasp) the Biden administration.

Like so much of a bribery victim's fealty, this will amount to no investment, no jobs, but plenty of time for T**** (the convicted felon and sexual predator) to lead his boy Cook around on a leash.
At least his trying instead of giving away your earned tax dollars. Get over it dude, you’re still crying of your election lost.
Tim will worked harder for this great American tax paying company.
Sounds like you're not aware that the GOP plans on doing a $4.5 trillion tax cut that primarily benefits corporations and the wealthy. They're going to extend the $2 trillion cut from 2017 and add another $2.5 trillion on top. Keep in mind that the $2 trillion cut from 2017 was in place during the entire Biden administration. So if you didn't like the Biden economy,  the ineffectiveness of that tax cut was part of it.
