It is a bit of a 'me too' service and a bit pointless. 

But Apple can obviously more than afford to speculate and like they say, Apple know what they are doing.

Plex works great for me in the home. 

But will Plex still be here in 5? 10 years? I'm sad to say, I don't think so.

I think the EU's position is perfectly reasonable and sensible. 

Why shouldn't all manufacturers of peripheries such as Digital Watches / Headphones have the same access to the iPhone as Apple's own Watch/headphones?

Or are we suggesting anyone wanting to make a competing Apple Watch should just go and make their own phone to go with it?

I agree.

I love my Nest Hub but mostly as a digital photo frame. It is fantastic for that. But I would prefer my personal photo's were not stored with Google.

And it is good as a kitchen timer.

But generally as a 'hub' it performs quite poorly. So I am hopeful Apple will do better.

I do wonder what a 'hub' is meant to be these days though. It is a bit of a nebulous and overused term.
