BMW confirms it will not support CarPlay Ultra
Car manufacturers are not going to give all their screens to Apple or want to reply on them for their onboard computing.
It just won’t happen.If Apple want to push this they need to partner with a manufacturer to make a reference vehicle.

My take is their AI and Siri are pretty bad products.

Some of the transparency effects make the UI harder to see and use
some of the sizing is a bit all over the place
