Not sure that NDAs wash when law enforcement is involved.
At the same time, you're immediately put in a tough spot if you're unsure of what to do which is most likely why he wanted to speak with some at Apple and/or a lawyer. Do I give everything up and risk losing my job, or what?

Also, just because its law enforcement, doesn't give them the right to just search someone's property for very little to no reason. They're not above the law...they're there to enforce the law using legal means (proper policies and procedures).
CBP does have the right to search someone's property if they are entering the country. They don't need a reason. Fourth Amendment protections don't apply at ports of entry. It's like that with pretty much any border services agency in any country. They have the right to search someone's property when you enter a country.

  • Macs sold in China no longer able to display Taiwanese flag

Well wonder if China is about to invade Taiwan?  There’s been a lot of anti-Taiwan propaganda throw at the region lately from mainland China.
China really doesn't have the capacity to invade Taiwan. They would need a ton of amphibious ships to hold troops. Taiwan is 4 hours from China by boat. The amphibious ships would be sitting ducks for the small and fast ships Taiwan has. There is also the threat of U.S. involvement. Beijing can talk tough all they want but I guarantee you the leaders in the PLA realize it would be no easy task to invade Taiwan.

  • Warren Buffett doubts Apple TV+ immediate success, but Apple 'can afford a mistake or two'...

Apple’s first efforts already failed. Remember “Carpool Karaoke” or “Planet of the Apps”?
Those shows were terrible. By the sound of things with the upcoming shows, nothing really sounds interesting to me. I guess I will withhold judgement until I actually watch one of the new shows.
That just means you are not the target audience. Have you ever considered the thought that your desires are not mainstream and are in the minority? What makes you think you are the arbiter of success? So many tech blog posters think they are the audience and what they want to see is the absolute measure of success. It’s like critics panning a movie only to see it succeed at the box office. It’s like the tech blogs declaring the Watch, the iPad, the iPhone as DOA and useless only to see them go on to dominate the market and sell wildly well. So what if you think Carpool Karaoke was “terrible”?
I don't claim to be the arbiter of success. I was just giving my personal opinion from watching the Apple event. Like I said, nothing sounded that interesting to me. Obviously my opinion could change once these shows are released. I'm going to give them all a try once they come out. With such a lack of information on these shows, not really sure who the target audience is.
