M1X MacBook Pro and more: What to expect from Apple's 'Unleashed' event on Monday
Hope we get another event. I love watching those things. But would they do an event just for an M1x upgrade and notebooks?
What they should've done 10 years ago was a Fall event that announces a Karaoke service with the AppleTV, would be amazing, and a natural fit for the leader of online music sales, one would think. But, Apple's services are perpetually 100 steps behind the hardware and OS software. What the hell is Eddie Cue, Senior VP of Foot Dragging, doing? What is Tim doing about Eddie at this point? When will I finally be able to merge my iTunes/music/app ID with my Apple/iCloud ID?? When will Apple Music, Apple's most social app, be.. actually social, eg have more than just profile pic and playlist sharing options. Why tf is Spotify facilitating HomeKit integration with home lights and music before Apple??? -

Apple launches iPhone 13 with A15, smaller notch & more
I fucking love Apple. What a great presentation. I think they outdid themselves this time. I really love the creative touches that 'surprise and delight,' just like Apple's products do, e.g. the helicopter scene with the girl, and the dog in handcuffs lol. I loved the scenery of the shots, especially the backgrounds that included Apple's campus. Does anyone know if they do tours?? I'd fly back to CA just for that.iPhones look amazing, of course, still best in class, by far, of course, although it was interesting that there don't seem to be much in the way of 'stand out' features, the obvious features that are easy for normies (i.e. non apple nerds/fans) to wrap their minds around as significantly 'different.' ProMotion is probably cool, but something most will just feel, but not 'notice' (like high ceilings in a house), and on-phone siri will likely be a huge usability and security improvement, although probably won't be fully appreciated for what it is. Camera improvements seem great, although also probably not fully appreciated. Thankfully, Apple is solidly in the stage where there are enough people who appreciate Apple that the claims of a 'boring' update won't phase them much at all.Side note re Apple's event art.. they did it again! All the damn guesses (including mine), wrong, and not really alluding to much (unless we're getting an AR glasses surprise at an upcoming event).I'm looking forward to getting the 13. I've been getting new Pro's on the upgrade plan for the last few years, but I'm pretty sure I'm going with the mini this year, I miss the efficiency of that size too much. I power through multiple apps in quick succession dozens of times a day, and I *hate* reaching with my thumb or having to use my second hand to keep things moving. The macro photo mode in the Pro is the biggest thing tempting me to stay with the Pro, but one-handed efficiency is a bigger priority for me. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get that iPad mini.. so freakin' cool. -

Especially when you conveniently ignore the very rational concerns regarding privacy and surveillance, not to mention the glasshole types that write bad reviews of restaurants because they aren't 'Glass friendly.'
