  • Australian retailer pulls AirTag over battery safety concerns

Oh the irony! Apple criticized for not having user replaceable batteries. Apple now criticized for having user replaceable batteries that are too easy to replace. The company simply can’t do anything right according to the critics.

Many of the products I own that have button batteries have snap off lids for replacement. Some have a small screw that needs to be removed to replace the battery. Can you imagine the cacophony of outrage if AirTags required a screw to be removed. Right off the bat there would be claims of greed because the AirTag didn’t come with a screwdriver included and that users shouldn’t have to buy something else just to remove the battery. This is life for the world’s biggest corporation.

  • 24-inch iMac, iPad Pro, Apple TV 4K preorders begin

I ordered the iPad Pro 12.9 and Apple TV 4K but had to quit the Apple Store app a few times to get rid of the error message when I tried to add my selections to the Bag.

I finally succeeded about 6 minutes after 5am. And I received emails confirming the purchases.

The delivery times were stated as May 21-May 28 for the iPad Pro 12.9 and May 21-27 for the Apple TV 4K.

My job is done and I am going back to sleep.
Well, I waited until normal hours to order the Apple TV 4K, had no issues doing it, and got the same estimated delivery date as you, 5/21-5/27. My beauty rest was more important.

  • Leaked Apple schematics and extortion threats removed from dark web

If anyone remembers the days of ‘Fake Steve Jobs’ he always sent ‘Katie’ or ‘Moshe’ take care of problems... permanently.

  • Apple reiterates it has no plans to merge iPad and Mac

It sure looks to me like macOS and iOS are already merged. Apple made running iOS apps on the new iMac 24 part of their dog and pony show. Someone described the iMac 24 as an iPad on a stick and except for a touch screen that isn't far from the truth. By the way how DO you run iOS apps on the M1 Macs? Do you have access to the iOS App Store?

  • Apple, Qualcomm slapped with patent infringement lawsuit targeting 5G chips

The moment I read "Western District of Texas", I dismiss this lawsuit.  Anything being filed at the center of patent-troll central is BS as far as I'm concerned.
Dismiss it if you want to. Qualcomm and Apple will wind up paying big money to these leeches. The big question is why other phone makers who use Qualcomm modems aren’t getting sued too. Maybe this article didn’t check into it.
