  • Apple made informal bid to buy Tesla at $240 per share in 2013

Tesla should bleed & die. Then  should scoop up the talent. Tesla was intensely stupid trying to build up their own manufacturing plants.
I test drove a Tesla Model 3 and a Chevy Bolt. Both are in relatively close price ranges. The Bolt is junk compared to the Model 3.

  • Apple, executives face another class action over misleading financial statements

Realize that this is a private lawsuit. The SEC has not investigated or made any accusations against Apple executives regarding their statements leading up to the guidance correction. Warren Buffet is not part of this lawsuit. That alone should tell you something.

  • Tim Cook says that Apple has bought 20 to 25 companies in the last six months

Looks like following old Microsoft route in doing these things.
Not quite. The old Microsoft route was to announce a competitive product was on its way and wait for the sales to collapse for the company whose technology it coveted, then buy that company at fire sales prices so it could release the promised product.

When I see reports like this, I don’t always think it is the problem of the manufacturer, in this case Apple, but rather it is American justice system.

This is is no longer about consumer rights, it is all about blood sucking lawyers and lobbyists.

Hot coffee can’t be hot. Knife need a warning label about it will cut you open. It makes me wonder if gun manufacturers put warning on guns about it can kill people. But I guess it doesn’t matter.

    Sorry for bad English.
Let me guess: you didn't spend $1K on an iPhone 7 and have this problem happen to you?
And all those who did will get a five dollar iTunes coupon and the lawyers will get millions. Name a consumer class action where Apple actually had to cough up big bucks to consumers like getting a brand new device. Never happens. This lawsuit demands a recall. You think that will ever happen? I don’t.

  • Spotify breaks 100 million paid subscribers, holding lead over Apple Music

Anecdotal rumblings ...The UX on Spotify is preferred by most, Spotify's play lists are more on the mark. Spotify's free tier helps people get used to the service, create playlists and then sign-up for paid version when ready. The AirPlay2 push plus Verizon promo will help Apple's market share, but Apple needs to be on par or better.Once people are on a service they tend to stick with it.
Apple could care less about winning the subscriber count battle.  It's about making money, and Spotify has done nothing but lose money since day 1.

Not sure where you get your insider information that you can speak for Apple, but I believe BOTH are true.  It is all about making money, but IMO, Apple is also all about numbers and being on top.
There is personal pride at work in even the biggest companies. The day Apple surpassed DELL in market capitalization Steve Jobs crowd about it. Michael Dell had insulted Jobs and Apple when he suggested they shut it down and return the money to the investors.
