Mac app buyers influenced by security more than features or price, survey states
We are all about security and we are also of the belief that the cost of software has tumbled since the opening of the App Store along with what we feel is better software than what was available in the past.An additional point I'd like to make is that when apple's App Store opened, they also opened the door to a world of garage developers who pushed the iPhone hardware to it's limits. The world was inspired for a platform to bring their dreams to life at no cost. It seems only the big corps are crying fowl about prices becuase like any big corp, they want it all. What was their strategy when Best Buy and Computer City sold software and made 30%? I'm pretty sure Amazon makes money as well.
I'm wondering off topic now so I'll put this to rest. -

Former Apple retail head Angela Ahrendts upset 'finely tuned balance'
Personally, I was not happy with in store apple shopping experience when AA was involved and felt she placed to much attention on the "haves" and my taste for the apple store soured when I would purchase items on line for store pick up - I had to wait forever to pick up a paid item. I really don't think she is a good as everyone thought she was in her profession. Some times large companies draw from top salary people for no other reason than the person is a top salary person.
My belief is that Steve would have never allowed AA within a 100 yards of an Apple employment line. -
Elizabeth Warren calls for tech giant breakup, with Apple in the cross-hairs
I don't believe a breakup should ever happen and especially not with apple - I mean who decides which part is broken off? Every product apple designs is also a testing ground for future products like Cars. There is so much engineering going on that it would be criminal to breakup any tech company. Most people only see what is before their eyes - others see technology in it's infancy and know exactly where it could be used in future products. Apple thinks long term and tests current technology in consumer products and looking well into the future. hope i explained that somewhat right - I'm not a techie.
