I love the way Qualcomm blithely say that Apple merely want the agreed rates lowered without mentioning that they were agreed while Qualcomm were squeezing Apple's nuts.

What incredible arrogance. I bought the software now I'd simply like them to fuck off out of my life, if they want to go to cloud based subscription model then they can refund my purchase price in full and I'll find a different solution.

Would be a very canny move on Apple's part to release the usual upgrade S models as usual, then have the special exclusively expensive but not too expensive, edition model that showcases the new technology. Then the next year everyone can get the previous years edition model at the normal price. This would be a pretty cute move.
