"Despite lukewarm reviews"...really? Most of the reviews I've read were quite positive. I tried one out in an Apple store and liked it a lot, it felt noticeably heavier than other iPad's of course, but not unacceptibably so.

Oh yes, who's the troll that's putting a 'dislike' on every single comment it seems? Or is it just a glitch with this sites new comments section, which by the way works so inconsistently on the iPhone that I've almost smashed up my device on a number of occasions due to temper tantrums! For instance I tried to write a few words as italics, activated the option in editing but despite continuing to tap letters on the keyboard nothing would show up in the comments box, it was like there was a disconnect between it and the iPhones virtual keyboard...very annoying!

Not really.  This is a story based on the Engadget story which was a copy of the 9to5Mac story yesterday evening which was based on the first version of this story from AppleInsider yesterday morning.  It's really all the same story.  The schematic came out last week and had three or four stories of it's own in the self-same manner, but now it's been included in these stories.

This article was bound to trigger a bit of a shit storm in the comments section and lo and behold it has. Still a nasty but also sad subject to tackle.

Sony was there first. And I think already have working prototypes in their labs.

Well this is all very uninspiring...what a depressing article. Has Cook finally succeeded in turning Apple into boring old fart?
