Former Apple employee denies he leaked trade secrets to media
prokip said:It's called the "Doctrine of Latches", pronounced la-chease from the French. It's about a delay in bringing an action to the court that affects the fairness of the claim by Apple. But it only helps to defend against any "equitable" remedy sought by Apple not a legal contactual claim such as damages for breach of contract.
But what friggin delay is there between something allegedly done on 1 November 2019 and a claim filed in March 2021, 16 months later? From what idiot law school did this guy's counsel get his qualifications? Back of the cornflakes packet?
In current French lâche, pronounced law-sh is a coward, lâches is simply plural cowards and lâcheté is cowardice.

The case for Apple TV -- why Apple's 'hobby' isn't as dead as critics think
OctoMonkey said:If Apple wants to make a fundamental improvement, add a Thunderbolt/USB port for adding an external camera.
A port for a camera is fine but all I would want it for is an external drive to play an entire library of digital movies. I live in the woods with slow internet so streaming is always sketchy. Things most of you with hi speed can take for granted are difficult here. Just playing a playlist coming from the cloud rather than locally is a silly concept and hit or miss with some lag, and then you can forget about photos from Photos. Steve Jobs said while introducing Gen 2 that the people don't want so sync anymore (from iTunes), but he wasn't thinking of us with slow speed. -
Apple turns its Pages, Numbers, Keynote apps up to 11
That's it ?!?
A media browser, phone links and password tweak for a full number revision ?!?StrangeDays said:zimmermann said:I still have the feeling that Apple is not really working on iWork to make it something to replace MS Office.StrangeDays said:sidrictheviking said:Love Pages and Keynote. They’re both so intuitive and versatile — I use them mostly on iPad, hardly ever on iPhone or Mac. Never use Numbers, other than for opening Excel documents from time to time.
