How to trigger Siri on your iPhone instead of HomePod
Did anyone figure out how to change the "personal requests" after the initial setup it says you can change these setting after the initial set up but I have not been able to find it.
BTW, the question we asked about the Olympics was where are the Olympics, and the homepod came back and and said where it was and when it started and ended. -
How to trigger Siri on your iPhone instead of HomePod
Yep found out any time someone in the room says hey Siri, the phone who said hey Siri will first trigger and display the Siri screen then it switches to the homepod to answer the questions. I will have to try tip here to see if the Siri will answer on the phone.
Also found Siri will answer some questions but said the homepod could not answer some others. We asked it about the Olympic and it was able to answer them which was surprise.

Amazon set to launch own delivery service, competing with UPS & FedEx
I already had Amazon delivery at my house. When the package was delivered, they took a picture of the package on my door step and when I look on line for the delivery status the tracking number was did not take me to any of the normal delivery company it just show the status on Amazon's on site. I think they have been testing this around the country in the last few months. -
Apple takes media on tour of audio lab in run-up to HomePod launch
That is how you test a speaker and device to see if it sound right, unlike these internet wantabes review to claim one speaker is actually better than another. This is why apple is better at this than most companies especially Amazon and Google. These kinds of test labs do not exist all over the place they are far and few between and most companies will not spend the money to build them. I am told that Apple has these chambers in the Valley somewhere, where exactly it is not clear. They are not going to be put in 1 Infinite loop since there is parking garage below the building and these changes need to be isolated from the building structure. I am also told that Apple has the better testing chambers out in the middle of central valley. -
Apple picked as 'most innovative' company in recent US survey
macxpress said:Many think that because Apple doesn't announce something completely new they aren't innovating. Just because Apple can take an existing technology, such as Facial Recognition and make it better, doesn't mean they aren't innovating. Innovating isn't just developing brand new technology. When Apple needs to develop something completely new they do, when they see a technology they can use, they make it better. They don't always have to reinvent the wheel with every product release.
This because most people never worked in a tech company like Apple. Most people think Apple just puts together pieces which other companies make. In reality, Apple is actually coming up with a design and going to companies who specialize in various technologies and have them make exactly what they want. Many times it is a combined effort from both companies. The display are perfect example, Yes Samsung make the actual display but it is manufacture to Apples design specs. This is why when you do a side by side comparison the Apple displays do so much better on the things that matter. They are as bright or vibrant as Samsung, but Apple colors are more true to real world and they do not have display burn in issues. This is where the true innovation is coming from not being first to put out garbage. If Samsung was the designer of the display, they would offer everyone the same display Apple has. but they can not since they do not own the design, they only own the manufacturing process. I works for a number of tech company and it was not unusually for us to work with supplier to come up with solution which no one else had.
