  • Rumor: Tim Cook personally testing new glucose blood sugar monitor for Apple Watch

Lost me at "selling it as a separate band" ONE WATCH TO RULE THEM ALL! Keep packing in the features!
Putting features in a band is part of packing in the features. There's a large area that can be utilized by sensors in the band… or are you wanting to use it as a pocket watch?
    This angle has legs...

Visiting an Apple Store to buy 2 watches in 2020:

"I'm not diabetic, but my wife is, so I'd like to buy her a 38 Stainless with the diabetic feature band.  I have hypertension, so for me, I'd like a 42 Liquid Metal with the blood pressure feature band."

Apple Store Associate:  "No worries!  Coming up!"

  • Rumor: Next-gen Apple Watch may support glucose monitoring, 'smart' bands

Apple will do it, but it's probably 24 months out.  Massive market.

  • With Apple rumored to launch Siri home speaker, Amazon preps flagship touchscreen Echo

I love all the perspectives here.  I think the key is to make this device into a personal companion.  More friend and less assistant.  That's what seems to have promise.  Admittedly, Siri is no where near capable enough to accomplish this goal.

The best music ever recorded was done live with gear that basically sucked and buzzed.  I'm tired of all the focus on technogear.  Music today is not short on tech, it's short on melody and meaning.  Pick up any guitar magazine and Jimi Hendrix is in there...  47 years dead.  Why?  Great songs and great performances.  Buzzy single coils in late 60's Strats, abused Marshalls, Wah-Wah, Big Muff and the occasional Univibe.

Natural talent, very hard work, balls, innovativion, song writing, singular focus, learning the craft.  I'm a dinosaur, but that's what sets great apart from gearheads.

Can you work for free for me?  I need my house cleaned and my Benz detailed!

Taking anything without paying fair market value is called stealing!  I think there's even a biblical Commandment to that effect....  if memory serves.  Thanks Lars and SJ and all others involved in saving the industry from thieves.

Now all we need is Apple to deliver highest fidelity on the creation (Logic) and consumption (iTunes) ends... and some good songs.  Someone write a good song already...  Sheesh
