  • Apple's North Carolina Research Triangle Park campus will be enormous

Seems like there’s gotta be a medical/health focus on this site choice.  That’s a major focus of the Research Triangle.  Apple would want access to that professional employee base and proximity to the universities and other research entities there if they are planning a big push into some health-related products.  And Tim did say, a few years back, that Apple will ultimately be remembered for its contributions in the health field even more so than for the iPhone (a very significant statement to make).
RTP is also know for its strong electrical engineering and computer engineering workforce.  IBM, Lenovo, Cisco, Cree, Microsoft and previously Nortel and Ericsson to name just a few

  • Hands on with Apple's new Pro Macs -- Mac Pro & Mac Studio with M2 Ultra

The new Mac Pro seems to not be what was hinted at from 2 years ago since it’s barely more capable than the Mac Studio but at nearly 3x the cost.  It appears Apple failed to deliver on the M2 Extreme processor (2xM2 Ultras) and the M3 pro level chips are most likely nearly a year away from release so Apple was in a bind and had to release a Mac Pro this year and this is what we get.  I can’t imagine they will sell many of these machines maybe a few 10’s of thousands.  The next M3 iteration of this machine will be the one to buy.

  • Mac Studio may never get updated, because new Mac Pro is coming

Mac Studio seems like a product without a purpose now that the M2 Pro mini is out.  Maybe it was always a stopgap device because the MacPro with ASI was so far behind schedule.

  • Twitter staff nearly decimated by Musk's 'extremely hardcore' demand

What I'd really like to see is some of these current twitter employees meet up and take concerted action to establish a union. Wouldn't that be a hoot?
You obviously know nothing about tech firms.  Unions are a big no go and are irrelevant due to the nature of work.

Would a great leader be in the position that Musk is in?   when I got into IT years ago, I remember learning something interesting about IBM.  That is, at IBM you can make mistakes with money but if you make mistakes with people they get rid of you.  I really like that kind of thinking.   I work for a large company and we just had our CEO leave after 5 years because of wear and tear with juggling travel, business and family.   He was well respected and people loved working for him based on feedback I hear.  I supported him directly on many occasions and was the best CEO I ever knew so far.  I said I would stay with my company as long as he remains CEO.    That kind of leadership is what builds a great company.  I don’t know if Musk understands how important it is to deal with people.  People are the soul of any company.  They will give their love, respect and hard work to leadership that works for them instead of against them.   That’s part of how you win in business.

Being that Elon Musk is the richest man in the world (and self made) and is the CEO of the worlds most successful electric car company and a few other extremely innovative companies I believed he has earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt of his leadership skills.
