  • Netflix bringing spatial audio to 700 titles for Premium subscribers

So if we watch Netflix on an Apple TV, there will be no difference as we will continue to get Dolby Atmos over speakers and on our Apple headphones. People that watch Netflix directly via an App on their and have an Atmos system at home will also continue to hear Dolby Atmos over their speakers or soundbar.

It is only for people that watch Netflix via an App embedded in the TV over headphones? Seems like a lot of effort for a small target segment.

  • Inside Apple Brompton Road: A gorgeous slice of calm in London

The store in Knightsbridge is nice, but architecturally not as interesting as Covent Garden, with its exposed brick and multiple stories, or even as Regent Street with its glass staircase (although glass stair cases are a bit dated now).
But nice to see the new design language, which is  more contemporary than the previous glass-focused one (which looks a bit like Heathrow)

  • Early previewers praise new HomePod's 'just wow' audio

I use paired original HomePods for AppleTV sound (we get everything via Apple TV, including terrestrial channels) and it is fantastic. I would upgrade to the second generation if they could be paired with HP minis for full surround sound.

  • Doubtful rumor has M3 MacBook Air coming out by late 2023

Interesting, but where is the 15 inch MacBook Air? That one’s really urgent.

Did the old one have this:

Yes, the original HomePod had Bluetooth 5.0.

I had the impression the Mini version did not have Bluetooth, which made it hard to use for me as I travel a lot and wanted to bring it along without hooking to Hoel wifi.
Although apparently the large HomePod did have Bluetooth 5.0, you could not use it to play music…. So if someone came to your house with a phone that is not from Apple, they could not share their music. The biggest reason not to get one.

Why would that matter? If they wanted me to hear something, they could just tell the HomePod to play it.
Not really concerned with how my home interacts with visitor's devices.
Well, thats you. I have people over that may want to play their Spotify playlist, or renters in my holiday place that want to play music when they are there, etc. I don’t think that having hoped for Bluetooth support was a very contentious wish.
