  • Apple Silicon MacBook Air versus 13-inch MacBook Pro - which to buy

Performance comparisons against some not-exactly-specified Intel platform when running some unspecified task don’t cut it. We’re supposed to continue evaluating our needs against some Intel thingy when trying to decide which M1 system to buy?
How about Geekbench numbers, for example? Cinebench anyone?
Hard to call anything “Pro”—or expect more than a year or two practical life—without a 32GB option, but I get how that’s part of the difficulty/limitations of SoC. That part sucks.
With the new unified memory model, I’m not sure that that is true. Might have to recalibrate our expectations of how much Ram is really needed. I’d focus on performance vs the spec sheet. Clearly this Air and Pro are doing things never before possible.

  • Apple TV+ review: Catching up with full seasons of Apple's original shows

Honestly I couldn’t disagree more with your review of See. I find this is a story built for the long haul with great character development, which can take more upfront setup but build a richer experience the farther you go. Not making a direct comparison but imagine watching just season 1 of Game of Thrones. GOT season one was a super disjointed mess of character building. If you be  are patient.... See won’t disappoint.

As for Momoa as Bobba Voss I’m not sure why you are looking for him to be the same as passed ropes. I’m glad he is not. He is portraying a much deeper character with a dark  past. I think Momoa has done a brilliant job and Bobba Voss and Paris’ relationship is extremely well written and performed.

I look forward to Season 2. I am just praying they cast the right person as Bobba Voss’ brother. Big shoes to fill

  • Epic Games' CEO responds to Apple's countersuit in Twitter thread

So basically he is saying that he always had a problem with the concept of the App Store Because nothing has changed to speak of in these policies since Epic first joined the App Store? Yeah no one really believes that! Apple is right it’s just about the money since Epics goal is just to be the one getting the 30% cut rather than giving it. It is disingenuous at best to act like Epic is fighting for anyone’s freedom except their own to make more money.

  • Mark Zuckerberg says Apple's App Store 'deserves scrutiny'

Doesn’t Facebook have “unilateral control”over what is approved on their platform? Zuckerburg is just pissed because of all the ad revenue he will lose with new iOS 14 privacy protections

  • Should you wait for Apple Silicon to upgrade to a new Mac?

Everyone keeps saying that MacBook Pro 13” and MacBook Air will be first machines with Apple Silicon but I’m skeptical as both models just got a refresh.

Seems to me iMac has always been first to show off new core technology like this. iMac is overdue for a redesign and been in short supply. Why wouldN’t Apple bring the WOW factor with a sexy new iMac design and Apple Silicon all at once?! If we are getting an Apple Silicon mac this year the timing makes more sense to me than the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.
