  • Apple announces Apple TV+ service with Apple's unique programming, coming this Fall

I have no opinions here. But I recall Spielberg created a TV series 35 years ago called Amazing Stories and I think it was cancelled in year two.

  • Apple debuts subscription 'Apple News+' integrating magazines & other publications

I'm from Canada. I've subscribed to Apple News+ when it came out right after the Apple event. I've spent the last few hours trying to read it. There are some things I really like, but some things I totally hate. Which do you want to know? In short, the price and value are ok. I can tolerate the ads. Some magazines have no ads, but some are ad-loaded. But my main problems are with the News. I can't even find the Wall Street Journal or LA Times here in Canada. Maybe I'm an idiot who just can't find them, but I'm worried they are blocked to Canadians (and therefore everyone else in the world.) But even worse, I can't find how to read the dozen or so Canadian Newspapers. Unlike magazines, which I can easily find and read from cover to cover, the only way I seem to be able to access any articles from Canadian newspapers is through the Apple News curation feature. WHAT? To me this isn't access at all. If I'm right, it means I cannot access roughly 99% of the newspapers I thought I was paying for. I can access only the articles that Apple curators have selected for me to see. If true, this isn't freedom, this is censorship, for which I am paying. I'm hoping I'm wrong. If I'm wrong, please tell me where I can read the US or Canadian newspapers!

  • New York Times CEO compares Apple news service to Netflix, cautions against partnership

Not many people are willing to shell out money to see a 20 year old news article. So I think he's mistaken comparing movies to news. The life cycle of a movie is probably measured in decades, while news is probably measured in weeks. He can do what he wants, but I think it would be wise to open up his newspaper to an additional 100 million paying subscribers.

  • Pirated 4K 'Aquaman' rip suggests iTunes 4K movie DRM has been broken

I've read this story carefully 3 times and I'm still confused. If "there is no way to watch 4K movies from iTunes" on a Mac or iOS device, then how could "a 4K film sourced from iTunes" exist at all? I realize an Apple TV 4K can display it, so is the story implying that the Apple TV 4K has been hacked? That's what I'm inferring from this story. I apologize for being an idiot.

  • Tim Cook changes Twitter name to 'Tim Apple' in response to Trump gaffe

    ElCapitan said:
Tim does not in any way represent the legacy of Apple. Him taking that name is an insult to everyone who carried Apple.
From someone who calls himself "ElCapitan" that's entertainingly hypocritical.
