  • Sony announces new WH-1000XM5 headphones, starting at $399.99

They look pretty good, a much better price for performance than the grossly overpriced AirPods max, and work pretty well.
The only bit I don’t like is that they don’t fold up like the XM4s. For frequent travellers compactness is important.
How can you judge these performance wise with the Airpods Max? Just by price?  Airpods Max can be had for around 475 ish right now.. does that change your opinion of them?

  • Apple's iPhone 15 will be first with USB-C, claims Kuo

For USB-C Magic Mouse, please have the charging port on the side and frontal. Currently I have 2 Magic Mouses because of the dumb charging port on the bottom. I wonder if that's Jony Ive's decision.
I never got the uproar over this?  Plug it in for 2 minutes and go get some coffee or a drink of water stretch your legs B)

A full charge takes as little as two hours, while a quick two minutes of charging is enough to give you nine hours of use before the mouse needs a refill.

  • Apple's Director of Machine Learning exits over return-to-office policy

Get over yourself, dude. We’ve all been working in the office at least 5 days a week for 200 years. Now all of a sudden, 3 days in/2 out you can’t handle? Loser. I’d fire his ass and find someone who actually wanted to work. This is a huge problem with America today. Lazy ass people want to get paid to sit at home.
How is working 40 hrs from home lazy but working from an office doing the exact same job for 40 hrs not? Seems you have an issue with people working from home and may need to get over yourself because of that issue? Sheesh... These aren't warehouse employees or dishwashers where you just toss them and grab someone that "Wants to work" as you put it.

I have been working from home 45-50hrs a week since March 2020. My team and I have hit our #'s every month without a hitch since we have been fully WFH. I am also not a kid who expects to be paid for sitting at home and not working... Which seems to be the idea that you have with people who are wanting to continue to WFH. I would imagine a large # of folks wanting to stay home fall in the same category as me and aren't looking to be lazy and do less work by staying home.

    Imagination...  it's a wonderful thing!
My imagination? I am not sure I follow your response?

  • 'iPhone 16 Pro' could be the first iPhone to completely ditch the notch, says Kuo

My son’s pixel has a thumb sensor underneath the screen, why Apple cannot do that is beyond me
Is it that they can't do it, or they just don't want to?

My father has the Note 20 Ultra and the under screen fingerprint scanning is not all that great. Hand too dry or slightly moist and it will not pick up his fingerprint. Gets annoying to have to keep trying until the pin code pops up..or wipe the screen and finger. It's not every time, but it's enough to be annoying. I am trying to get an app installed or look at something for him and the screen locks pretty quickly he will have to try multiple times to get to open with is fingerprint...
