    Apple reportedly cuts
    orders for iPhones by
    20% due to low demand
    for iPhone 12 mini

    It was totally untrue.
It's usually months after release that you see the orders cut reports though. iPhone 12 Mini released Nov 18 2020 and the report you cite is from 03/10/21 ... iPhone SE was released 10 days ago. I am not saying it's true ..just awfully soon to see a report like this.

  • Nine years after launch, Tile adds anti-stalking features that AirTag had from the start

I've never tried Tile, but am rather disappointed with Apple AirTags.  You can't connect one tag to multiple phones.  That makes things very awkward, with any shared item yielding endless "You are being stalked" warnings.  Also, going into a store yields a "lost contact with your car" warning.  That would make sense if the car was moving, but it just happens every time.

We both have Airtags on our keys. I also have one with my wallet. We both are signed into individual Apple Id's and we don't get a " You are being stalked message". I also leave my wallet and keys in my condo to walk the dog a couple of blocks around the house and neighborhood, and have never gotten " lost contact" warning"? I only carry my iPhone and Airpods on our walks. Maybe it's a carplay thing? and I don't have carply in my vehicle ? B)

The only time I have ever gotten a message about an Airtag being nearby that wasn't ours was when she swapped her phone out recently. There is no way to unpair Airtags from the former device like you can with an Applewatch. Something I wish Apple would work on to be honest. The reset process is kind of tedious and annoying in my opinion. Open the Airtag 5 times ( it's like making and breaking contact with the battery six times ) it makes a chime with each successful attempt and on the 6th it makes a different chime to let you know it has been reset.

  • Apple considers dropping face mask mandate for Apple Store staff

Without masks, there will be no store policy to physically distance. 'If' I go into a store, I will wear a mask and treat those without masks like I do people with bad breath by politely backing away from them. No doubt some will be offended but my health is more important than their feelings.
Again, fine. But don’t try to enforce your paranoia and hypochondria on the rest of us. We won’t be offended, really we won’t . We’ll just being laughing hysterically at you and your psychosis.
Did you feel as strongly when hippies were discriminated against in the 1960 & 1970's with “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service”? There has never been any state or federal law supporting this, yet businesses still do it to this very day. Time to rally the patriots! People's rights are being infringed upon! Haha

It's cool to know that you and other's like you would laugh " hysterically" and mock someone for wanting to protect their health in the way they want in a free country? Classy group you must run with.. my goodness the immaturity and silliness over wearing masks never ceases to amaze me.

    I despise masks.

They make me feel like I’m about to pass out.

I strongly suspect that for me and many others, it will be far less harmful to get Covid-19 than to wear a mask.

As a result I welcome the relaxation, or, better yet, the elimination of all mask mandates.
This is the silliest thing I have ever read.... Hopefully it was sarcasm and I just missed it.

Ugh. Let Bluetooth die. It's the floppy disc of wireless technology. Need something new.
Why? What is inherently bad with BT, and how would something else be better just because it is "new"?
For me personally sound quality and how easily it can be interfered with. I much prefer the sound quality that Wifi streaming offers and in my vehicles I am always plugged into a USB.

Yes, compared to WiFi or a wired connection, there are obvious drawbacks to Bluetooth. But BT is surprisingly  well designed, robust and energy-efficient (especially the BLE version), which means it can be used in many situations where others can't.

You missed the interference part of my answer. Another annoying thing that I didn't mention was multiple devices connecting randomly. I had a bluetooth speaker up in the 2nd level of my house from SoundFreaq, which when not in use was always on standby. If I was in the front of the house washing the car or clearing snow I would wear BT headphones. After 10-15 mins of listening on the headphones the sound would suddenly stop? My iPhone was in my pocket and if I would check the music was still playing, but no sound from my headphones? If I toggled BT off/on ( control center ) it would connect for a while and then the same thing would happen? I thought the headphones were malfunctioning and was ready to exchange them.

Eventually I went all the way into BT settings to try and forget the headphones and re-pair them before exchanging I noticed that my phone was connected to my Soundfreaq speaker and not the headphones I had been actively using?! I walked upstairs and sure enough when I turned the speaker on my music started to play? This seemed to happen with her phone and any other iPhone or device that I paired with that speaker. We could be sitting outback with my JBL outdoor speaker and..... out of nowhere music just stops playing. Eventually I unplugged the Soundfreaq when not in use, but that got annoying really quick.
