As I have stated previously, all Apple needs to do is make the iPhone 12 mini a "Pro" version and the lackluster sales of that model will be reversed.
I would get a pro mini in a heartbeat. Even with the smaller pro it’s annoying to have to reach all the time with my thumb (and I have medium-large hands).
The position of the back/done buttons on iOS is completely stupid. They should have moved them from top to bottom when they went from the iPhone 4 display to the bigger 5, as they were ok with a smaller screen; or with iOS 7. Having to reach across to the top left/right of the screen is crap for one handed use. It's about the only thing from Android that is more sensible, they have back and other (home and ok?) buttons at the bottom near where your thumb naturally falls.
I think people forget that you can swipe back from the left edge of the screen to move through web pages or the pages of the app you are in, or rest your finger on the white bar at the bottom of the screen and swipe from app to app. You don't have to reach all the way up to the top left to go back. I am using the 12 Pro Max this year and moving around this way is quite useful.

  • English teenager suffers facial burns after iPhone charger catches fire

The law of unintended consequences -  not putting a charger in every product is likely to increase the number of cheap and maybe poor quality products. Although other companies substandard products are not really Apples problem.

    https://mfi.apple.com/

When you buy non Apple it doesn’t have to be cheap 5 below trash.  That’s like  paying for a vehicle that requires premium fuel and you cheap out and put in regular because it’s cheaper. Then when detonation destroys your motor you want to sue the car manufacturer or expect it to be covered by warranty.

I am not saying that is the case here. Just saying not including a charger shouldn’t be a reason to trust cheap non MFI cables and chargers if you don’t want to pay for OEM.

  • Apple discontinues full-size HomePod, to focus on HomePod mini

Hi Homepod, this is iPod Hi-Fi!  Welcome to the discontinued overpriced garbage club!

It was a stupid product when it was new, it never improved, the price never dropped to anything even remotely close to reasonable, Apple discontinued it.

Why would anybody be surprised?  It was a failure from minute 1.
It’s not garbage by any means. Its built fantastic and sounds great that was my reason for buying. Not Siri or smart functions. We love good sounding music and this fit the bill perfectly. Airplay from my phone while controlling everything  from my watch as I move about the house is solid. Have you ever actually heard or used this speaker ?

Your comment sounds like someone that has read about them here and maybe some other forums and jumped on the chance to say they are a failure without any hands on with the product.  Like you’ve been holding the HI-FI comparison comment in your back pocket waiting for the right time to throw it out there hahaha.

  • There's a Space Gray HomePod shortage - but it probably doesn't mean much

The HomePod has not been significantly updated or redesigned since its launch in 2017. It has, though, been followed more recently by the HomePod mini in 2020.

Wasn't the original HomePod released in February 2018?

  • Privacy-centered browser Brave launching 'Brave Search' engine

Brave is the brainchild of Brendan Eich, the man who invented Javascript, and the man who was culture canceled and ridden out on a rail from Mozilla because he dared to believe marriage is between a man and a woman. So why would any card-carrying lefty use Brave as their browser? Just asking.

A private browser and a private search engine for free? What’s the business model here?
What he dared to do was donate to things and people that are Homophobic ( California Prop 8 ) and Racist ( Ron Paul & Pat Buchanan).
