    In all fairness which one of Apple's Youtube videos are directly comparing an Apple Product against a competitor? These videos are product info and not commercials showing why they are better than another company's machine.

    Unfortunately, until it has a comparable feature to Echo's Drop In, getting a HomePod will probably never happen in my house. Intercom as it stands just doesn't cut it.
    How are the two features different?
    Echo's 'Drop In' is a real intercom.  A live conversation between the two rooms.  Apple's 'intercom' is a person recording a message and it playing back on the other speaker.  That is not an intercom.  That is a 1980s answering machine.
    Maybe Apple implemented intercom this way for the sake of privacy? I don't own Alexa products but I recall seeing how these devices can be used to eavesdrop once you say ok to allow drop in there is only a little beep and a green ring around the device. This can be missed if you aren't looking at it, or you are distracted or maybe have headphones on?

    Again I don't own any of these so I can't confirm ..




    Intercom will send out messages to speakers and devices right away and you can choose to answer by invoking Siri and sending an answer.

    Ipad mini costs more than the entry level Ipad. It has cost more since the entry level iPad has existed?

    Back  in the original Ipad Air days ( 2014 ) it had the same chipset ( A7 ) at a slightly lower clock speed and a retina screen with with higher ppi than the the larger air?

    I am generally an anti google person due to their gross behaviour toward and profiteering from violence, scams, hate, child targeting, predatory behaviour, destruction of value and being the biggest spammer on earth

    However the gambling simulators on the various app stores are horrendous and predatory; worse in my opinion is that any game that is free and stuffed with ads, will include ads promoting these kinds of apps directly to small kids.

    Google turns a blind eye and i expect that of them, however Apple turning a blind eye is real and equally -insert appropriate swear word-

    There is no apology, this is not a spurious law suit, it is Apple profiteering and the no doubt very hypocritical comments saying “control yourself” sadly highlight the quality and compassion of the commenters.
    These are obviously not very bright people that have succumbed to an addiction. These games don't pay out.. who the hell gambles and expects to not actually win anything? Besides the addiction and I know it's real and sad.. but come on.. No pay out? That is beyond idiotic to me.

    Apple should have to police this and stop it and accept responsibility.. yet every corner store and gas station can sell real money scratch offs?.. that's just the small business person trying to get ahead I guess?  They aren't responsible for the addiction they feed yet Apple is with games that don't pay out.. Hahaha wow.

    Masks..helmets anything that obstructs the face enough for face ID not to work. It would be nice to have a secondary way of opening the phone if face ID isn't able to open for whatever reason. This rumor of touch id coming back under the screen has been around long before the COVID-19 pandemic.
