  • China sees no reason to keep iPhones if WeChat is banned

It's funny how people think Apple can just pull out of China no questions asked.

What people forget is most of America's debt is owned by China. If China really wants to mess with America all it needs to do is call in its debts from America and the entire American economy is screwed. America won't be able to pay that debt.

But go on Trump, poke the bear.

I agree with you about poking the bear and people thinking we can just leave China like it is no big deal..But they ( China ) never will call in that debt..

The dollar collapse it would cause would disrupt international markets worse than the 2008 financial, crisis and in the process hurt them as well. Both China and Japan want to keep their currency valued low cashing in would raise the value of their own currency while driving down the value of US dollar. So their products, still priced in yuan and yen, would cost relatively more in the United States. Their economies would suffer. Right now, it's still in their best interest to hold on to their dollar reserves so they can keep their exports to the US cheap.

  • Apple shuts down Epic Games developer account

So Epic agreed to the contract because they know Apple has an enormous base of customers. Then epic got greedy and thought they could be dishonorable and cheat the company (Apple) that helped them become a worldwide sensation.
epic you suck for your dishonesty, lying to customers when you blamed Apple for the situation that you forced onto itself, stealing from the company that made you extremely wealthy.
I don’t care what quality games you produce, I will not support a greedy, lying, stealing company ever again.
    I'm done with you epic!
Fortnite was a world wide sensation on console and they remain that. 12% of all players of Fortnite play on mobile and this includes all mobile devices and not just IOS.  Just wanted to put a little perspective out there. We all love Apple but let’s not frame this like they owe their success to IOS. That simply isn’t the case.

Does Epic see enormous dollar signs with IOS’ user base...absolutely they do and tapping into that cash flow without giving Apple their agreed upon due is exactly the sneaky shit they pulled. In order to have a reason to sue to force the issue which again is exactly what they did. They also hoped they could tarnish Apple and get other developers to get behind them.. which hasn’t really happened.

Hoestly the majority of young people that play this game don’t have loyalty to Epic or Apple. They just want to buy their VBucks and play the game. Epic gave them discounts and free shit to sway players opinions of Apple. All so they could make more money and not pay Apple. As someone else said here if you didn’t like the terms you signed and agreed to take Apple to court to sort it out. Not pull this childish fake robin hood nonsense to sway popular opinion of a huge company that YOU need. Apple doesn’t need a thing from Epic and showed that by shutting them down.

This whole thing hurts customers and players in the end. Epic does t seem to care about that.

I am now torn. I have been patiently waiting for Tony Hawk PromSkater 1&2 to release on PS4 ... now I don’t know if I want to give epic my money!  :|

Current iPad Air starts at $499.00.. Apple Pencil 2nd gen is $129.00? That certainly isn't half the price? B)

Apple will probably drop the price of the 2nd gen pencil when this is released  ... and then release a 3rd gen pencil to go with the new Mini LED iPad rumored for early next year.

Apple’s market share is in the low teens for smartphones. “Monopoly”? Hardly.

    What Is a Monopoly?

A monopoly refers to when a company and its product offerings dominate a sector or industry. Monopolies can be considered an extreme result of free-market capitalism in that absent any restriction or restraints, a single company or group becomes large enough to own all or nearly all of the market (goods, supplies, commodities, infrastructure, and assets) for a particular type of product or service. The term monopoly is often used to describe an entity that has total or near-total control of a market.

    https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/monopoly.asp

App stores or app marketplaces are digital distribution platforms for mobile and desktop apps. They offer online users a plethora of apps to browse through, purchase or download for free.

Market share has nothing to do with being a Monopoly. Apple completely controls their own app store and what can and can't be loaded onto their hardware. I have zero issue with this and care nothing about Fortnite or Epic games.Just wanted to add this info because I keep seeing this go back and forth.

What I don't get is why developers don't pass this 30% apple tax onto us? Charge more to get what you wanted in the first place. Much like with medical insurances.. hospitals and care providers charge more to get what they originally wanted from insurance.  A dental cleaning is normally $80.00.. they send a charge to insurance for $100.00 knowing that insurance is only going to pay 80%.  So they get their $80.00 that they originally wanted and insurance only pays the % they are obligated to pay. Crude example but I am sure you get the point.  Another example is Youtube Premium.. when I first signed up few years back it was $12.99 a month as a recurring subscription through the app store. A little later I found out that it was $9.99 if I paid Google directly as they pass the extra 30% onto the customer. Prices on Googles side have since changed but this was just another example.

I hear time and time again that we IOS folks actually spend money and that is why EPIC and other developers want to have their product on the app store. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more to ease the 30% burden on smaller developers?

Epic can go kick rocks as they make a killing on console sales and are just looking to bleed every last cent out of these kids and young adults that play Fortnite game. B)

So where are the Jazz and Classical channels?
Exactly. I’ve heard nothing to suggest that Classical is even on their radar.

I just looked at Apple Music and counted 38 classical music stations.  Search was - classical music - Radio Stations... B)
