    By all accounts the se2 is supposed to replace the 7/8 models.

    And rarely is the high end model the best seller.

    Anyone else actually in the business knows that 5G is in the hype cycle and completely overblown. DED will likely remind us of these items. 
    I was thinking the same.. How long do they think Apple is really going to produce and sell a meaningful amount of the iPhone 7 new.. that they would be concerned with cannibalization by the SE2? Considering by most reports the body of the SE2 is identical to the 8.. why would they continue to produce the 7.

    How does this apply to Sonos ? Without updates these devices aren’t going to be thrown into the landfill and they don’t ship crap products in volume. I know what you are getting at I just don’t think it applies here with these products.

    I agree.  Plus, I think it's time to get rid of the silver and / or gold.
    No!  Please .. Silver/Stainless on white is simply gorgeous. IMHO  B)  Gold on the other hand.. I am not into it. I haven't liked how it has looked on any phone, and the Rose to me was even worse.

    I still receive security updates running MacOS High Sierra on my mid 2011 machines. I think at this point Apple still gives security patches 3 years after a machine has been obsoleted.

    So the budget conscious paid for an iPhone 6/6s or 7 presumably new, but are budget conscious and looking for an iPhone at $399.00?  Were these phones that cheap at launch or am I missing something?  Are we assuming everyone that is using those phones bought them years later?
