  • iPhone 11 review - the iPhone Apple is trying to sell to everybody

    11 = €829, 151x76x8.3, 194 g.

    SE = €549, 124x59x7.6, 113 g.

    Everybody ain’t me.
    A smaller sized phone (not the price per se) would be attractive to a large enough iPhone base. I recently bought the Se and that's the size I want. I wonder if Apple are just waiting another year or so for that SE base to move into the typical "upgrade phase" to release a smaller sized iPhone 11 equivalent?
    Can you SE folks actually supply any kind of #'s outside of this forum that show the millions of people that actually want an SE sized phone? I truly don't believe there are as many as you may think. Apple obviously has the sales details for the SE during it whole existence. If there was an opportunity to sells millions more of the SE do you think they wouldn't jump on that? As opposed to forcing folks to use a larger phone which seems to be the feeling..Apple is forcing you into a larger phone.

    I am just curious.. I don't see them in the wild really anymore where I am ( Pennsylvania ).. maybe on occasion I see a younger person with one, but that may also be a hand me down 5s as well since they are still supported.

  • Apple Arcade is here, play over 100 exclusive titles for $4.99 a month

    The first game I tried said it was compatible with iOS, iPadOS and tvOS. So I presume the omission of macOS means that most of the games on Apple Arcade will not be compatible with Macs. And a few days ago people were telling me on this website "Don't worry! It will all be compatible with macOS using the keyboard as your controller!" EDIT; The first TWO games are incompatible with macOS. So my worst fears are now realized.
    Owners of iPad and Apple TV will get it on 30 September, as part of the iPadOS and tvOS 13 updates. And it will be available on Mac in October, as part of the macOS Catalina update.

    Come on ... your worst fear realized?  Some people fear war or where their next meal is coming from...

  • Should you upgrade to the iPhone 11 if you own an iPhone XR?

    Debate/argument of should you upgrade from iPhone XR to iPhone 11 has no clear winner. But, should you upgrade to iPhone 11 from any previous touchid based iPhone or android phone ? And the answer is clear. Absolutely 100% YES. Why ? Because iPhone 11 is fair price all-around, large screen,phone for everyone's need.
    But a lot of people prefer simplicity and speed of Touch ID.  Looking forward to in-screen version if they can do
    What is slow or complicated about Face Id?  It's a smooth swipe up with no delay on my Xs Max.. raise to wake was made for Face Id.. all one motion.

  • Review: Sonos Move is the do-it-all AirPlay 2 speaker you've been looking for

    It's amazing what removing the Apple logo will do for a speaker review. There's never "too much bass" and it's never too expensive.
    I love my HomePod. I use it for Siri all the time. BUT -- and I've said it since day 1 -- the bass is overpowering and sloppy. If you try to listen to something with spoken dialogue like an audiobook or as a speaker for the TV the bass is too much that it muddles the words. It is also heavy-handed for action movie explosions. Even minor on-screen actions creates huge bass from HomePod. Living in a townhome, I couldn't even use the HomePod with my TV because it was so bass-heavy. I ended up returning one and using the second in my office for music and Siri.

    To be fair, some people may love that heavy bass. I'm not that person.
    I use my HP daily. I have never felt it to be sloppy as you put it?  I listen to spoken word stories via Youtube while I work from home quite often or video replays of the sports shows I like and have never thought the words to be muddled? Could there be something that it is sitting on or near it that is causing distortion?  This is not some fanboy defense I am seriously saying the speaker is tight and bass is appropriate in my daily use. Even my GF who doesn't really care about quality has said she is amazed at the volume it can be played without distorting and how solid the bass stays.

    I understand not liking thumping bass ( I live in a townhome as well ) but solid appropriate bass makes what you are listening to sound full and rich.. thin tinny sound hurts my ears.  I will say that if you had these from launch the bass was much more pronounced and sometimes boomy before that first or 2nd update that some folks complained changed the sound of the HP.

    Most HomePod owners that have posted on the subject remarked bass levels have dropped considerably. To some owners ears, this is a welcome change. Other listeners are demanding Apple bring more bass back.

    Bass-Gate

    “Can definitely hear a dramatic reduction in bass,” said one Reddit user. “Tried playing ‘Big Shot’ from the Black Panther soundtrack. That shit used to bang. Now it doesn’t.”

  • Early iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro benchmarks reveal 4GB of RAM across all models

    64 gb of storage with 4 gb of ram for 1100 dollars and Apple has the audacity to call it Pro?!  The Note 10+ justifies its 1100 dollar price with 256 gb minimum storage plus SD expansion, 12 gb of ram, obviously 4x4 MIMO like they've had for years in any flagship, an S-pen, wireless powershare, 25 watt included 45 watt capable fast charging, twice as fast 15 watt wireless charging, far better screen to body ratio, larger and better quality display (see DisplayMate), time of flight sensor, an entire desktop experience with DEX over USB C, also it actually has USB C.  I'm sure I'm missing things but that's a start.... bring on the sad "BUT IOS IS THE ONLY OPTION" ignorance to try and defend this affront by Apple.
    Include the link that has displaymates review of the iPhone 11 Pro and Max screens. I am interested to see the differences between them and the Note 10, Also I believe the Pro models will come with an 18W fast charger and not 15W as you stated.

    Enjoy your Note 10+ btw it sounds as if you are very passionate about it's specs and screen.

    I am sure the folks here would gladly join in on your unreleased iPhone bashing as well.   B)
