  • Consumers prefer Apple Watch Series 9 over SE and Ultra models

I’ve personally witnessed how durable the ultra is in extreme conditions. My workmate has one and iron ore dust on the mine I work on is some of the nastiest, most abrasive dust and it is looking brand new after a year. He is a boilermaker and doesn’t get exposed to as much grease as me (mechanical fitter). I’m still not buying one as I’d get grease and dirt all jammed in around the crown, but for almost anyone else, they close to indestructible.

  • Leak shows rumored bronze titanium iPhone 16 Pro

My job is very dirty and dusty. I’m always looking for the colour of dirt in a phone as that’s the colour it will end up. I’m very very ready for Apple to move on from white AirPods and accessories.

  • Apple's intricate Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable design revealed under CT scan

Because Apple likes to charge highway robbery prices for cables.  They always have.

The chances that's in any way significantly different than any other Thunderbolt cable are ZERO.  It's a standard, anybody building a cable is going to use a similar design.
As much as I agree with you, I’ve annoying found just the basic Apple lighting cables to have much higher longevity than just about any cable I’ve found. Like everyone, I bought a bunch of cheap and often not cheap cables that have braided sheaths ect but many die in a week, month, or months. However, the Apple ones seem to last years, even when the inner wires are showing.

  • Apple FineWoven case review: Not the leather replacement we were hoping for

I haven’t even got my iPhone 15 yet and have already bought a leather Bellroy case. For less than these cases. Heck, these fine woven cases cost as much as some cheap phones!

  • Forget folding, Apple really wants iPhones with rollable screens

I’ll never buy a folding, flip or scrolling phone or tablet. My work environment is to harsh and dusty for any of these mechanisms to last. Water tight and next to no moving parts for me thanks. I do like the sound of possibly solid state haptic buttons on future iPhones.
