I'm totally torn between wanting to upgrade now, or waiting to hear feedback, and the first update. I've been bitten once before. 

I often order things from Amazon, but I know someone who holds a patent on an electronic accessory, and lately there are loads of Chinese knock offs on the site. He hired a lawyer to demand Amazon stop selling them, and the response he received was that it wasn't up the Amazon to decide who held what patent, and that he should pursue the makers in Chinese courts. Obviously that won't stand a chance to be successful. So Amazon just keeps collecting their share. 

Personally, I purchased the book as soon as it went on sale, and I had to make arrangements in another country as it isn't available in Canada. I don't see the issue with it's existence. Is this the reason there is no Mac Pro update? I doubt it. Ive isn't the first person around Apple to have a vanity project if you see it like that. 

I just spent the last month monitor shopping as I had a feeling nothing would be coming forward from Apple. I was blown away by the poor aesthetics out there. The LG I settled on looks alright until you get up close and realize it's a brushed chrome looking plastic. I have no idea why they went this route. 
I may be alone in this, but if I have to look at it everyday, I'd like some design appeal to it. I'd happily pay more to have it. 

If my understanding is correct, one reason the 3.5mm was removed was to increase the ability to keep water and mosture out. 

As someone who has lost 2 phones now due to water damage, and knowing many others that have as well, I do like this advantage. I know you can get certain cases that do the same, as I have purchased them, but they add bulk and negatively affect speaker performance.
