  • Allegations of discrimination spawn investigation into Apple Card credit lines

The actual issue here is that Apple Card does not allow additional card holders to be added to the primary user's account. That is very unusual and will likely slow the use, if not the adoption, of Apple Card. For example, both my wife and adult daughter have additional cards on my main credit card account. Particularly in the case of my daughter who just graduated college this gives her a great deal of additional spending ability that she would not otherwise have. The credit card company doesn’t care what my daughter’s credit rating is because there is only one bill —mine— and as long as I continue to make the payments in time all is good.

DHH has obscured the real issue described above by floating a red herring about discrimination that stems from his actual or feigned ignorance of how credit works.

  • Apple Card users having problems with making payments

I've had no problems making payments. Rewards are somewhat lacking and the interest rate is only OK. Probably will just use it for Apple purchases to get the best reward level.

  • Apple rumored to introduce MacBook with scissor switch keyboard in mid 2020

I finally decided to buy a new 13” MacBook Pro recently and I have been very concerned about the keyboard due to all of the negative media. However, I have been pleasantly surprised to find that I like the keyboard a lot. I am a writer who has been a touch-typist for nearly 40 years and am very picky about my keyboards. I can’t make any claims as to the durability, given that I have only had the laptop a few weeks, but I am not too concerned as my daughter’s 2017 MacBook has a similar keyboard and she has had no problems despite heavy use at college for several years.

This is actually about the only show in Apple’s lineup that I have any interest in seeing. The arguments stated above about it being an “abomination,” sight unseen, seem outlandish.
I'd have to agree, though I also agree with the other geezers here, in that having grown up with the space race, and watching the first moon walk in 1969 at age 18, I'm concerned that younger viewers will have more familiarity with this fiction than with the history — despite the flurry of movies that came out last July around the time of the 50th anniversary. Maybe I'll just watch "October Sky" again instead. ;-)
You give the younger viewers too little credit. This is just pearl-clutching gatekeeping.
That and why would anyone think older viewers are any better. Most people are ignorant of history and even alternate history fiction sparks viewer interest in the era.
