Apple's biggest innovation of the last 25 years isn't the iPhone

ms is not 37% the market cap of aapl—they’re at rough parity
You seem to be right about Microsoft's market capitalization being today roughly the same as Apple's though.

I agree with the author.
The big enabler of later Apple innovations was the introduction of the easiness of development into its platforms.
That started with Mac OS X (and its public beta).
It was clear to me at that stage (not difficult for it to be, since Jobs and Apple tirelessly emphasized it and delivered the tools that made it material) that Apple's strength was the easiness and speed with which quality apps could be developed.
This speed of development, coupled with solidity, has given Apple an exponential advantage over the years. It has enabled the speed and width of development of Apple platforms.
I am glad that Daniel gets it and wrote this article. -
Genmoji and Image Playground arrive with macOS Sequoia 15.2
comcastsucks said:Does Sequoia really have Genmoji? And categorization in emails? Because I'm not seeing it. Maybe I turned it off or something. Or maybe it wasn't in the release candidate. My point is that I'm clueless.
@William please read the footnote on Apple's announcement, that says:- Genmoji creation is available on iPhone and iPad, and will be available on Mac in the coming months.

Smallest Mac yet is perfect Apple Vision Pro companion with the right battery pack
Not an article I was expecting to read.
But once I read it, it makes sense!
The"UPS" battery is a battery with pass through charging, as long as the switch between battery and AC sources is seamless enough for the Mac mini to operate normally.
There seem to exist options, such as this one in the US: https://www.amazon.com/powkey-97-68Wh-Portable-Charger-Laptops/dp/B0BMG8SL94

AirPods Max headphones unlikely to get any further upgrades
ashsaturday said:the AirPods Pro Gen 2 seem to slip around in my ear no matter which ear tip I use, thus slowly overtime allowing sound to slip in
I recently upgraded my AirPods Pro to the 2nd generation and am amazed by the progress compared to the original AirPods Pro.
While the regular original AirPods stayed firmly in my ears, I also had my AirPods Pro (gen 1 and 2) slip around.
I recently discovered Airpods Pro replacement ear tips (on amazon, Azla Xelastec, under $20 for 2 pairs) - the AirPods Pro stay much more firmly in my ears and the noise cancellation appears vastly improved.
