    It seems the general views are HomePod sounds really good but the Siri Intelligent  system falls short compared with other smart speakers. The question is, will Apple improve Siri any time soon?
    No it's not marketing mostly as such, so you start up with a lie.

    The Qualcomm story over the last few months certainly makes for an interesting read. The latest twist shows that it is impossible to predict the final outcome yet. Once the dust has settled l hope Daniel E Dilger will write a piece about it in his usual way.

  • French court denies Apple injunction against tax protests

    Each country has its own culture and beliefs. A French friend once informed me that public protesting is considered a basic right in his country. Apparently it was traditional to hold demonstrations  on Thursdays in Paris. I don’t know if this is still the case but l think it goes some way to explain the French court’s decision. They are probably upholding a French way of life. If Apple understands the importance of not generating bad PR they might want to consider thier position carefully before entering into further legal  action.

    I don’t get the idea of comparing sound at full volume as realistic. Who would try to trash speakers at full volume all the time? I would imagine that would typically be too loud, but if not then surely they should be buying bigger, more expensive, more efficient speakers that will be able to produce higher volume at much less than 10 on the dial? It’s my view a more normal everyday volume is no higher than 50%.
