The thing I just cannot understand is why they still have not addressed the egregious bugs in the current implementation of text editing. Bugs, not design. I have repeatedly reported these bugs as they slowly morph from one bad behavior to another. I’ve watched it change from an occasional issue, to a serious issue, to a differently serious issue. Each iOS release has changed some of this behavior but not actually fixed the fundamental bugginess and inconsistent behavior. Some things got better (highlights don’t jump around anymore) but It has overall gotten worse. Selections make pages scroll maddeningly and inconsistently. Selections fail to provide context menus, and then may or may not disappear when tapping on the selection. Selecting is still clumsy overall (seemingly reacting to invisible parameters and non-user-driven events). The magnifying lens has stopped being centered where it was designed to be centered. Undoing typing sometimes results in a mess of duplicated and choppy blocks of text. 3D Touch for text handling is garbage.

here I am STILL looking at autocorrect not capitalizing the first letter of the first word on a new line on this forum’s text edit view (and maybe just being disabled entirely, as also happens in the middle of typing a block of text for no apparent reason).

Why??

None of this was an issue in iOS 6.x. iOS 7 broke the hell out of iOS and it’s been over SIX YEARS that this crap hasn’t been fixed.

WHY??

Did they only just recently decide to examine this broken mess? What the hell were they so busy with elsewhere that these problems have been left to worsen for THIS LONG???

I have their money, I am working hard, I was up ALL WEEKEND on an update I should have had finished before the weekend even started, and that Samurai Jerkoff has the audacity to write an update for me, that has "buzzword buzzword buzzword" all through it, along with catch phrases of mine.

The islander has been poking me again, but he's harmless. Annoying, sure, but harmless. I humor him because he's my favorite Pitt bull, and then there's other loyal treggers like ColinG and others, but everyone else wants to stab me in the back - with blades!

The betrayal of these "scumtomers" is palpable. I've been busting a gut creating the next dent in the Universe, and it's hard! And these slobs who couldn't create a keycap if their lives depended on it just don't understand. They're out of touch - out of multi-touch - with just how hard it is to be a genius!

People read how nice I am - treggers broadcast it from the rooftops, but I suffer NO FOOLS on the forums! Cross me and you're refunded! Say a bad word and bam! Bye bye loser.

When I launched, I knew there was problems, but we knew we could fix them fast.

How wrong we were! 4+ years later and we still can't get our firmware right. We ran out of memory, we broke keycaps, our paint suppliers are useless morons... and now we're stuck with thousands of TextBlades with slowly ageing batteries that we'll have to replace before we go to GR!

The money is running out... that AppleInsider review turned out to be a DISASTER. All the haters came out of the woodwork and showed how slow we are. We work hard every day, I stay up until SUNRISE on a WEEKEND to write an UPDATE for these LOSERS and all they can do is CRITICISE! That TBD wants my blood... he'll pay. When I figure out who HE is... bam! He will be REFUNDED so fast his credit card processor will spin spin spin like my brain is right now.

Plus there were HARDLY ANY pre-orders! Screw you HATERZ!

I know you HATE it when I say stuff like "we think you'll like the benefits it brings" or similar, but I love that language. That language is ME and people have stopped believing me! AAARGH!

I'm sick of this sugar. Efff you all. I am friggin' Mark Knighton, and I am Iron Type Writer Man, and these FOOLS cannot see it.
