  • Elon Musk's latest anti-Apple tirade is about a ChatGPT feature that doesn't exist

He is becoming increasingly unhinged.  Satellite imaging shows tens of thousands of unsold Teslas stockpiled in parking lots that are unsold.  I personally saw a parking lot with over a 100 cybertrucks in a parking lot in NW Houston.  X continues to descend into an 8-chan cesspool of disinformation devoid of advertising.  The cybertruck has been a bit of a disaster (late in delivery, fit and finish issues, etc etc).  Honestly he needs to put his phone down and concentrate on what he does best.  X has been a disaster for him and has been his undoing.  I suspect his other businesses have been likewise running on autopilot (SpaceX etc etc) but he has become his own worst enemy.  I don’t think X will exist two years from now.  And it will be interesting to see what happens with his 56 billion dollar Tesla shareholder vote this week.  Personally I think the judge made the right call.

  • Apple Intelligence & Private Cloud Compute are Apple's answer to generative AI

With the recent Adobe fiasco (yet another) where cloud data is actively policed and mined for Adobe’s benefit and the lack of copyright protection for the open-source LLMs of the world, the idea of a private cloud compute is genius.  Despite Nvidia’s recent successes in minting expensive GPUs eventually power and money costs will catch up with this approach.  I suspect Alphabet, MSFT, Amazon and Apple will “roll-their-on” systems in response at the end of the day.  They really don’t have a choice in the matter (though I suspect it will take a few years to accomplish this task).

  • How hard is it to break into the Apple coding world?

My grandiose notion of a neurodivergent communication tool, swirling around my friend's more general purpose product concept, launched a partnership to move forward in beginning the creation of a new mobile app. We are approaching a Minimum Viable Product.”

DED you are my favorite LLM AI even though you are a human.  You have to let me know what micro-dosing drug your dealer beings you after you contact him/her on Signal.  Your prose always cuts to the heart of the matter.  Thanks again.

  • All of the active antitrust cases Apple is fighting around the world

Agree with the above comments.  I think these suits have less to do with being pro-consumer and more about the breaking down of security and just dumping on Apple for the sake of fines and jn the case of the EU, bolstering local tech companies.  Unfortunately this skirmish launched by Epic & Spotify continues to play out by copycat government actions worldwide.

But I have to blame the US government misguided monopoly suit against Apple for adding fuel to the fire.

Calling Apple a monopoly is like saying that Taylor Swift has a monopoly on concerts.  She is powerful, yes, but there is always Beyoncé.

  • AirTags used by alleged human smuggler may ultimately provide enough evidence for convicti...

Agree!  With the anti-stalking software, I suspect only stupid criminals are using AirTags this way since there are alternatives that don’t let people know a tag is following them.

I misplaced my AirTag marked keys this last week and found them in a few minutes.  In the past it would have been an hour of tossing my home to recover them.

In the end I hope these lawsuits don’t cripple the device for the 99% of us.  I don’t understand why these cases are just not tossed b judges right out of the gate.
